Gameboot Length

I've been using the Prince of Persia gameboot for a long time, and I recently went back to the original gameboot.

For whatever reason, all gameboots I have tried since the Prince of Persia one seem to cut out early (about half way through), and just turn white. I guess some update I got managed to shorten the maximum time or frame count of the gameboots. Or maybe I don't know what I'm talking about.

Anyway, do any of you guys know how to fix this?

I have read this many times,
but don't have have it in me to find all the references for this.
Google it.

I have downloaded many gameboots that violate this time/frame parameter.
They either don't work or only partially work.
I don't know why.
