    Unhappy Enabling Audio (Holux Users)

I DO NOT recommend cutting the tip of the audio plug. First attempt disabled my connection to the GPS.

I thought my cut was a little too close to 2nd plastic band that seperates each division of the plug so I decided to give it another try this time cutting the very tip with no effect (still had no audio) but I was able to receive data from the GPS. So instead of cutting off another huge chunk I decide to start grinding little by litte, no change in fact when I got down to about 1mm from the 2nd ring I lost GPS again

Considering I only paid $5 for the remotes I'm at no loss, but people who order custom cables I wouldn't recommend it. Hopefully I can find another used remote in the morning before I leave on my trip.

Anyone who has been successful at the modification can you please post some detailed pictures of your work?

Ive seen a couple of pics but none that shows how mouch you should cut off and further more ive heard that cutting the tip of and using it on a Ta-082 Mobo wont work so im keeping my tips and just addins "Sound out" on my modded cables if i need to, this way you could hook it up to your stereo and hear sound

Take a peek at this thread where Mr7 and me posted some pics of custom cables, i asked mr7 how mouch to cut off but i did not get an answer other than "just cut it" *Lol*

The whole GPS unit goes offline on Ta mobos.
