    hey hey hey. i actually take offense to that statemnet. Nas, Atmosphere (FAR from RnB), Rakim, KRS-One...if you think they are RnB...you need to quit smokin pot.

    It depends on your definition of genres. Some people see rap as purely a sub-genre of hip-hop, and hip-hop is tied extremely closely to R&B.

    R&B-Soul and Rap-Hip hop arent the same. of course theres mixtures of those genres like the song i dont wanna know by mario winans ft. p diddy for example

    well im not really sure how to put it. but does anyone in the states even listen to english rap?

    ha ha ha. I knew you'd all get pissed off. Its meant to be a thread about whether american is better than uk rap, but no-one in here has even heard any decent uk $#@!. Dizzy rascal, the streets, so solid crew - top of the pops anyone?

    If you can appreciate good hip hop, once you go homegrown, you'll realise its just as good, if not better than, american stuff, I guarantee it.

    As for Grime I dont like the beats, so i dont bother with it.
