Ds Lite Date Transfer Usb Cable (Updated)

i just got a ds lite data transfer cable but when i plug it into my ds and the pc nothing happens do i need a program to detect my ds?

For what product? Need more information.

The DS itself has no disk drive, so if you got it for that, not sure what to tell you. If it's for another product, like a MMD or something, post it up so we can give some answers for ya.
