Help Me Please

Hi, i'm a new Wii user, i've only had it a week and its been working fine, but today i turned it on and whatever i do the remote is not matching with the machine. They are both on, i've changed the batteries, the connections are all secure, but its not responding. Anyone got any tips?

press the little red button on the wiimote (where the batteries are) then press the red button on the front of the wii (under the disc slot) they should sync themselves up after a few seconds

Tap/Shake the Wii-Remote, and press the A+B buttons.
