How do I upgrade from 1.5 to m33

I've searched around but guess I missed it. I know this has to be simple.

I'm getting a PSP tomorrow that will have 1.5 on it. Where can I find a recent guide to install the latest M33 firmware, or any custom firmware for that matter, if i'm already running 1.5? I found a video tutorial but its not for the latest firmware (http://www.psphacking101.com/node/62) - and I don't want to brick the psp.

once you've done so

use kxploit permanent patcher, next use the installer, after that it would have created an updater, now run the updater & u will have new custom fimware it works on 3.52 m33

That sounds like a great idea - except - how do I do it? I searched the forum and but only found pandora info.
