Look, what games can you play online on Wii? Super Mario Strikers and Pokémon. Lol what the hell...?
You're simply bashing Wii because you wasted 600$ on a PS3. Sell it and buy a Wii, and learn what ENJOYMENT is. High visuals mean nothing, if a game sucks.

    Wii will win.

And you're talking about online play on Wii... but, it doesn't seem to me that online play on PS3 is better. But it's correct to say that the X360 wins in online play.

i think everyone here sees that the wii will continue to sell the best. its the same reason the ds does what it does.

i have a wii and i like it quite a lot but i feel like its a bit too far in one direction. what i mean is the motion controls are great but i want at least close to 360 graphics but oh well. its still fun.

Ehm.... I don't have a PS3...I'm planning to buy one though.

My brother has a Wii, and he uses it, he loves Nintendo, he's a freak, and guess what? He admits the online service stinks and Wii has a big lack of 3rd party and great visuals support.

So yeah, the PS3's online service is way better than the Wii's.

Even though I'm a "big" Sony fanboy, I have a 360 and I'm extremely happy with it. And right now, I can say that the 360 is better than the PS3 at the moment.

I you were to unplug my Xbox 360 Live I would literally go insane because I use it to talk to a few of my friends that have emergrated to Australia and I love Gears Of War and Halo especiall yonline, I can't wait to play Halo 3 online. Xbox is the best online service there ever will be for a console nothing would be able to beat its features. All it lacks is a web browser and you never know Microsoft might release one for it one day.

    Default Wii2

Because of the low end horsepower of the Wii, its completely thinkable, that a Wii 2 with power equaling or exceeding that of the PS3 will be out by 2010 2011, so me thinks 2012 is 2 late.

I hardly ever even use that smilie unless somethings REALLLY funny! Now three, you KNOW you've got a laugh riot!

Paying $5 a month for unlimited demos, gameplay, trailers, clips, pretty much any media you can think of, is absolutely nothing compared to all the great things you get from XBL. No questions asked. There isn't an online play in the world that compares even close. Not a one.

The Wii has hardly any good games yet. SSBB, metroid Prime, LoZ...sure, whatever. Fun games, but...you need more then 3 to be a good GAME console. Now, as a console, the Wii is extremely innovative. But I want both innovative games, and classic FPS and such.

Console wars really seem to mean nothing. People know there are pretty much no games for hardcore gamers for Wii, yet people can't get enough of it. Its because the console itself is insanely great and innovative, but horrible when it comes to classic games. The games...just don't add up. At all.

thats the great thing about 360. It combines both classic and innovative console play with the same for its games. There isn't a soul alive who can say that the 360 doesn't have the greatest games made of this new age. Well, without being an obvious liar.

This isn't to say that the other consoles can't catch up with the games factor.

Thats why I don't like the PS3. Boring, classic, unninovative console, but mediocre to great games. But the games themselves are nothing new, nothing innovative. MGS4 = Hence, the big "4" in it. meaning the same gameplay we've played 4 times. That said I still wanna play this game like mad, but not because its something new, or special. KH3. Boy I wanna play this game. But I can tell you its probably not gonna be innovative at all, either. And FFXIII--well, we know the story on that one.

Break out the flamethrowers people, and revoke the words spoken out of bias.

if you want to pay for something thats free for everyone else thats great. i'll pass.

ps3 has superior hardware and soon enough the devs that want raw power will move to the console that has the most while the wii does exactly what ds has and continues to curb stomp the rest.

yeah 360 has some great games but just give it time. wait for the power hungry devs to want more raw power and the ps3 will start looking mighty nice..

    3 things to consider -

1 - "most powerful" has NEVER won the generation war. Never.

2 - the unit with the "innovative media" advantage has never won. The GC failed with their crazy mini disc's, the DreamCast failed with their GD-ROM's. If BluRay flops, or just fizzles, the PS3 will struggle.

3 - Sony is currently subsidizing the cost of the BluRay in the box. That means that they are loosing money per sale in the hopes of getting bluray players into people's homes. The PS3 is the cheapest bluray player out there, akin to when the PS2 was one of the cheapest DVD players out there. Sony actually had a real problem with folks NOT buying games for their PS2 at the start - retailers started requiring folks to buy games with the console.

$50 a year for a subscription service with all that I'm hearing is in XBL is interesting. Given the rumors of some level of "TV" service as well, MicroSoft really seems to be in control of the digital home. For them it's not about the gaming platform, but the whole new way to deliver digital entertainment. All they really need is an add-on rental service (like Amazon un-box) for HD movies and they could start sealing the deal.

They might not win the console war, but the digital home war is a whole different strategy. And I don't believe that Sony is "with it" enough to really grasp the future: They've let the portable music space slip right through their fingers. They have done just STUPID things with digital rights management. I don't think they are really in touch with their core audience for this type of electronic, and it will show long-term.
