make sure you place the UPDATE folder that is provided in ms0:/PSP/GAME/
then palce the 371.PBP in there. it shouldnt show up as corrupt if you do that
I'm certainly no expert, but I'd guess you were putting the M33 creator in the wrong place, check CAREFULLY EXACTLY which folder it's supposed to go in. There are more than one "game" folders... make sure you're getting it in the correct one.

I have bricked my psp twice trying to update it to CFW 3.71 M33 from CFW 3.52-4, any help is much appreciated and thx in advance!!
That is a very good tutorial. I followed it though to install custom firmware 3.71 on one of my PSPs.
However, I noticed it won't work if one's IDstorage is damaged, especially the keys that control the region because the updater will not let you install it, hacked or not. I know this because one of my PSP units has suffered damage to the IDstorage.
Can someone help me, I have a TA-82 mobo, I used the pandora battery to downgrade my 3.50 psp to 1.50 firmware. Then I update it to 3.52 M33-4, but it bricks when I try to update it to 3.71 M33. Could it be that my idstorage is messed up?? If it is, how do i fix it?
Any help will be appreciated

Yes, there is. An unbricker has been released by Dark_AleX (M33) for PSP Slims and PSP Classics.
