    ok im seeing these downloads everywhere that say PSP 1.0 firmware dump, what the hell does that mean?? Is it a downgrade to 1.0 if u have a 1.5 unit cause i would love to see that lol.

    No its not. Its just a dump fo the firmware itself not an installer nor anyway to be installed. Its mainly for Emulators and Coders.

    NO! its just a dump of the 1.0 firmware, nothing more. you can do just as much on a 1.5 as you could with exploits.

    the firmware dump (illegal?) or dumpers are only really good for research.

    yea u can do homwbrew on 1.5 but theres alot more homebrew hacks and $#@! for the 1.0 rather than the 1.5, and its prolly alot easier to get them to work since its not as hard to get past the firmware

    .... I had not heard of anything not running on 1.5.... all that was needed was the exploit found. Maybe I am mistaken but as far as I know everything i tried works and all it takes is alittle work just like you would do to install on a 1.0 system, with 1.5 you let a program map it for u and handle most everything just dling the program and adding the roms/files u want.

    cross is right.. you can do just as much with a 1.5 as you could with a 1.0

    have you tried psp brew? it is very easy to use and it converts all of your 1.0 pbp's into 1.5 pbps. every thing works just fine.
