Does that mean it's state saving is not compatible with earlier saves or that it is?

Retention of default? I hope that means I can set a default setting for all roms.

I'm going to test this now.

first one through a human translator says
"There is no save state compatability between this and version y21 or below"

Yeah saves not compatible with v.21 or lower. Thats a shame for those of us with a lot of saves. Right now I have both versions so I can slowly update to the new one.

The only obvious changes with v22 is the ability to set default settings. I suggest -

    frame skip - 2
    Screen size - 4:3
    CPU - 333mhz

    Everything else the same.

I get perfect speed on all games with this. And no obvious loss of quality or smoothness because of the frame skip.

I think ppl r compainging to much about the updates, he lets us know every time something is correted, just because it does not affect you or the game your playing does not mean it does not affect someone else. y22 was the first version to let me play Star Trek TNG. Every version is an improvement, just because all you want is speed does not mean that other updates beyond speed improvements are not something others will like. Frankly, if you want something faster and don't like what the maker is doing, so it yourself, not complain about it.
