But it was comments like yours that drove these potential coders away. Liars or not.

That's the way a distrustful group puts it.
They did nothing wrong to deserve the initial negativity. Only thing they did remotely wrong was post news to a people that are skeptical about coders.

Was their excuse for departure valid? Probably not.

But initial support could have pushed them to create something worthwhile.

By the way, don't be angry by things I type.
Because if you have a reprisal...it'll probably make you look dumber.

except my comments didn't come until after, yea it sucks that there was some pre bashing, but to announce something like this without anything other than 3 features is pretty much asking for it

and if they were even somewhat active they would have already known that anyone who releases a CFW is going to be held up against DA

wildcard, m33 and the small handfull of CFW modders calling their stuff new all had to deal with it

so im not sorry they had rice paper thin skin, if they wanted a better reception they should have just released it when they were done (like m33) and not put up another "were gonna" post

some working software to give feedback to would have helped alot too, give me 5 min in photoshop and ill have a new CFW...

Still I am of the mind that this group was DAX himself. Again look at the "coincidences". Doesn't exactly speak volumes for this group being independent:

-Shortly after DAX's initial retirement an unheard of team takes the reigns, actually releasing things. Later we find this team was DAX and Company all along.

-Shortly after DAX's announced retirement (after 3.71 CFW and 1.50 Kernel patch) ANOTHER team pops up out of no where.

-Void Team speaks Spanish; DAX is from Alejandro, Spain.

Seriously guys, think about it from a statistics point of view. The chances of having 2 teams, with a leading man from one country, doing the exact same thing (making CFW) is HIGHLY improbable. Sure there are many factors that would make this possible (maybe DAX has a coder friend who just got into the scene) but had said individual been a friend of DAX I'd imagine they would have mentioned that.

DAX, while a great coder, has used his notoriety to stir "drama". He doesn't "need" to retire, but again, it puts him in the lime light.

Why do you think celebrities do stupid things at big events? To get into the news paper, to be the "news of the week".

That is all that I think this is.

it could have been, but the only thing they had were 2 screenshots, one posted here is 478x292 and the other is 320x181

now i may not be writing my own CFW anytime soon but i am learning how to program this little chunk of plastic (quite quickly imo) and 480x272 is the magic rez
