Default Which firmware kicks the most ass? (3.40oe vs 3.71 m33 on slim)

    Hi dcemu peeps,
Got some pretty tough questions regarding firmwares here goes...

I'm currently running 3.40 oe and thinking of upgrading to a slim psp with 3.71 m33
    (slim meaning no 1.50 kernal?!)
But will it really be an upgrade? Or will I be dissapointed when I cant do what I want with the new firmware?
Some say I should upgrade as 3.40 is getting out of date, others say I wont be able to emulate on slim 3.71...
Can someone give me a definitive answer on this?

Which is the best firmware for homebrew and more importantly emulation and backup gaming?!
Can slim 3.71 m33 Emulate gb/c, gba, sega, nes, snes, psone isos, and psp backup as good as 3.40 oe?
    What about Iso compatibility issues?
    Emulator/popstation compatibility issues?
How much homebrew will I miss out on if I upgrade?

What are the chances of D.A (or anyone) bringing out a 1.50 kernal for the slim?

Is the future looking bright for the psp slim and homebrew?
Yes its alot of questions, but Its best to research before you draw for your wallet.
    Thanks for your reply's.

Slims aren't very good for homebrew yet. I'd say update your current one to 3.71 m33.

3.71 is the best cause there makin homebrew for 3.71 m33 kernel. the 1.5 kernel isnt supported on the psp slim so u wont be able to use 1.5 homebrew

There is now a 1.50 kernal plugin for 3.71 so i'd say update to it and don't call it a slim version because the slim version is totally different.

By "slim" I mean to buy a slim psp and put the 3.71 m33 firmware on it,
but like whats been said, theres no 1.50 kernel for the slim yet, thats where my dillema is...
I want a SLIM! but I also don't want to lose out on homebrew stuff.
To be honest, If I could get a slim working these emulators:
    - gba
    - snes
    - nes
    - psone
    - psp back-up
As good as 3.40, then I would go for a slim, even if I
would lose out on other non-emulator homebrew applications (emulating is my main thing)

I understand the slim doesn't support 1.50 (at least yet) but I don't actually know what emulators only run on 1.50...
(I didnt put the custom firmware on my psp myself btw Im a noob)

So does anyone know if the slim is capable of my needs with firmware 3.71 m33?
OR will it be capable soon? (Will 1.50 ever be available for slim)

Thats what i wanna know, then I can add up whether its worth buying the new slim or not...
Again thanks for your replys

I have a PSP Slim and got these emulators working:
    -snes
    -genesis
    -nes
    -gba
    -cps1
    -cps2
    -psone
    -psp backups

but I am currently on 3.60 m33. I wonder if they still will work on 3.71 m33. Anyone know?
