1.50 Kernel Add-on for 3.71 M33 Released

Can anyone tell me if VSHAnalog.PRX plugin works on 3.71 M33 now that we have the kernal update PLEASE!

Hmm, first of all, you can't upgrade from 3.40 OE to 3.71, you need 3.52 M33-4 to do it.

The common causes, well, I don't think you should care about that. I've seen that you've been here since a long time ago, and you're on 3.40 OE, so you must know about all of this already, there's no need to worry for someone like you. The causes here, are the people that don't know what they're doing, or just people that are careless, and of course mistakes everyone make.

So to be secure, I suggest that you put your PSP back to normal, like flashing the original Flash of your current firmware. Then install 3.52 M33 and then straight to 3.71 M33.

I hope you upgrade, it's worth it, nothing to lose, a lot to earn. Also, more 3.71 users, more stuff that will come for it for sure. So... good luck.

Thanks for the reply and I did know that I could not upgrade straight from 3.40 OE but thanks for that bit of info. Yes you are right I have been around for a while now and I know my way around pretty well but I must admit that I have somewhat turned a blind eye to all things flashing aside from getting the newest custom firmware. What do you mean by "put your PSP back to normal, like flashing the original Flash of your current firmware?" If I update to 3.52-4 M33 then wouldn't that reset my whole flash or would I have to do something to make sure it is all clear. Again, the only flashing I have ever done is downgrading from 2.00 to 1.50 and changing from 1.50 to 3.40 OE, no custom icons or messing with Flash0 or 1 or anything like that. Also, would I go from 3.40 OE to 3.52 M33 to 3.52-4 M33 then to 3.71 M33? I want to step up to 3.71 but I don't have any interest in doing this with my eyes closed if you know what I mean.

Edit: Also, has anyone tried the new Remotejoy prx's for this firmware? Does it work in recovery mode, XMB, in homebrew, and in UMD game? This is a huge part of why I am going to upgrade so please give me feedback concerning the new remotejoy prx functionality.

What I meant by "put your flash back to normal" is that, put your flash like it comes. But if you haven't messed around with it yet, well there's no need to worry. Just upgrade to 3.52 M33-> 3.52 M33-4 -> 3.71 M33 -> 1.50 Patch. I've done this many times, with 3 of my PSPs, and 2 PSPs from friends, and no problem at all. It's all safe.

If you want, I could upload and send you all the files ready, I have them saved, so all you would do is copy them into your PSP, and press X.

And I tested Remotejoy, it's working 100%. Works for XMB, UMD and Homebrew. There's a new GUI with the new prx for 3.71M33 of RemoteJoy which you can get right here.

DarthPaul could you please tell me if VSHAnalog plugin works on 3.71 M33? SO your saying since my PSP is all fresh and back that since I haven't messed with the flash (except my platnium icons) all my PSX games should work just like on 3.52-2?

I've downloaded sony themes working, I'm running gPsP, Snes, & gen. Also i've already check 12 iso & cso going 2 do more. So far it,s better then all the cfw that I have tried.
PSP:1.50 - 3.50 sony, 3.40 - 3.71+1.50 cfw . No bricks.

Reporting a bug.

After installing this update.. I can't use Custom Themes! When I go to Setting -> Theme Settings -> Theme, and try to apply one, I'm getting an error:

An internal error has ocurred.
(80108351)


Can someone else please test that? I hope it's my PSP and not bug on the Update.

did you go to the recovery menu and change gane homebrew to 1.50

I can't get any homebrew to wok either.

And now I realized I'm getting an error at the time of installing the Update, on "Flashing: system.prx". Thank God this is not a bug and it's my PSP.
