Stupid question about the magic memory stick...

I've created my pandoras battery and magic memory stick to install 3.60m33 on my new psp slim and was successful, but I would like to totally free up the 2GB memory stick I used for other things. The question is, can I simply copy the entire magic memory stick to my hard drive, buy another/smaller mem stick, format it using mspformat and copy the original magic memory stick data back onto my new, formatted mem stick for future downgrading/unbricking, or do I need to re-create the magic mem stick from scratch? Thanks in advance.

You would need to recreate the memory stick, but there is now an app made by Hellcat, i believe, that does just about everything for you.
