The problem I am having I think is I dont have the NEOCD.BIN file I can get the program to work but when I start up the game it says can not load NEOCD.BIN. I have looked all over for the .BIN file but canot find it. =/

yeah u need tha neogeo.bin try looking it under tha name neo geo bios u might find it .....

Yes! Down sample your MP3's = lotsa saved space.

Many of the ISO+MP3 sets floating around have very high quality MP3's, i.e. 300kbps or more. You don't need that high a bitrate to sound good, in fact I find 80kbps to be acceptable, and 128kbps sounds great. So down sample your mp3's for the PSP, but I'd recommend saving the high quality ones on your PC.

I find that resampling your mp3's at lower bit rates can save 25% - 50% of the space a game might take up. You'll need some software to do it, something like MP3 Workshop (I have an old version I use).

If anyone knows a good FREE MP3 editing/reampling program, please give a link here. Thanks.

can nobody please PM me not telling me where they are getting Neo Geo Cd roms from without paying membership fees etc. i havent looked anywhere and it is not very frustrating.

Don't pay extortion money to "ROM sites" - it's one thing for people to share copyrighted stuff for free, there are ethical arguments to be made for that practice, but IMO selling ROMs is disgusting and is true piracy. The entire emulation hobby exists because of people sharing info and data, so you should never support those vermin.

My apologies to DCemu if I wasn't supposed to mention the newsgroups here(?), but I really don't want to see people supporting those horrible "pay us for roms" sites. Delete this post if it incringes on this sites policies, I will completely understand.

My bad... I got music now. The problem was that I put the neocd.mp3 folder in the wrong place. To get music to work, the neocd.mp3 folder has to be in the unzipped/zipped game data folder:

/PSP/GAME/NEOCDPSP/King of Fighters 99/King of Fighters 99 (.spr, .prg, .pcm, .txt, etc. files)/neocd.mp3

eh??? can you put this in more simple terms, i can't figure out all this crap, i downloaded a metal slug rom, but it was in 3 parts, so i name a folder metal slug, and attempt to place the files from metal slugpart1 .rar to it, bt when i try to put the files in metal slug part2.rar in it, it tells me "this folder already contians a file named...." and gos through ALL of the files.... so how the hell to i make the 3 diffferent parts into one???? and where exactly do i put the sound in the psp memstick??????

edit- i got the neocd.bin thsts 512kb, and put it in the neocd folder in psp/game.... and put the part1 metal slug.rar into a folder named Metal Slug, and put the Metal Slug folder into the neocd.zip.... i turn on my psp and go to NEO GEO CD in my games, memstick thing, and press X and it gos to the neo geo loading screen thing, and then the screen gos black and i go back to the psp menu.... with no error messages or anything..... is it really SO hard to get metal slug on my psp.... i've been trying ever since the 1.5 got hacked.....

edit- i downloaded i different neo geo cd emulator for the psp, and followed its instructions, a made a folder within the neo geo cd folder in game, called Metal SLug, and then made a zip called mslug, and put the iso file inside of it... i then made a folder called neocd.mp3 in the Metal SLug folder, and put all of the mp3 files into it.... then i started it up, i browsed to the mslug.zip, pressed O, and then it said "fatak Errir: could not load NEOCD.BIN#... i have the 512kb NEOCD.bin in the folder it told me to put it into......

edit- ok it turns out the NEOCD.bin was in the wrong folder.... so i got it in the right one now, NOW when i start it up, it says something about an error compressing ipl.txt or something

edit- alright, ive been playing metal slug for about a half hour now...im playing right now... ive beeen aweaiting weeks for this..... i will probably be playing all day.... i cant peel my self away... i finally figured out to unzip all the files from the iso to a zipped folder called Mslug, sadly, i have 300mb free on my memstick, now i have 112mb free... but im too busy playing metal slug..... ill erase some stuff later..... music works fine, it is pretty easy to put the games on once you now to unzip the ISO files.....

i like to see how many of you talk openly about downloading a illegal iso of games like metal slug and many others, if we can't talk about warez then many, most of you should be banned but i guess none of the administrtors care
