Sounds like you've bricked it. The PSP must of turned off part way through accessing and changing the flash, your only chance is to use the pandora battery. Sorry mate.
2 weeks ago my i borrowed a game of my friend, upon start-up i was told i need to upgrade firmware.
the psp then shutted itself down completely and has not worked since.
whenever it's turned on, the green LED stays on for about 5 secs and then turns off, whenever it is being charges the red LED stays on until charger is dis-connected.
any help please/

Yep! pandora for you buddy.
im sure if it bricked because the umd was updating, sony would take it back as a legit fault, however youd end up with the latest firmware and proberly have to pay postage costs (which would end up being close to buying yourself a pandora anyway, considering you are sending them a BRICK IN THE POST - hehe)
