    Default Aghhhh so frustrated!!!

    I made maps using the tutorials, I'm using a fat psp 3.52 M33-4, gps-290, mapthis 0.5.01 beta. When I load a map and get sats locked in and turn on gps mode the tile disappear and the screen is full of No data at this zoom tiles. I'm out of ideas, it's one thing after another Looks like I wasted $60 on a gps antenna that I can't make use of.

    Deniska I beg of you please help, I really wanna get everything working.

    *Included is my current config and log file, which may help someone solve my problem.

    yep maps begin with an underscore. It's like the gps isn't matching with the maps or something.

    Sounds like you dont have a map for the area your GPS detects you on.

    Try Google Maps and generate maps from it via the GMDL tool In7ane made.

    If you get a No DATA Picture its just because your positions is out of place.

    can you open your map and see your area?
    if so, compare the gps coordinates (gps vs your supposed location on the map)
    it sounds like you made a wrong map...

    I can see the map when I start MapThis! and all the POI show up in the correct spots but when I enable GPS mode the arrow icon moves around like it pin points my spot but all the map tiles disappear.

    I will upload a video showing what happens shortly.

    ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

    Ok here's what I tried:

    MS Virtual Earth (Hybrid)
    In Advance mode I typed in my address, I could see where my house is no problem.
    Clicked Get Numbers got:
    zoom=3
    x= 4696
    y= 6204
    min zoom= 0

    GPS Data:
    Lon= 352.692139
    Lat= 39.966???? (Numbers kept changing where the ?'s are)

    Had 4 Bars on SAT reception

    *Also created Geodata with the map, when the tiles disappeared I searched my address and it said distance to mark or whatever 3588.? (couldn't see last digit, had arrow icon thing over it)

    Config:

    BAUD=38400
    DMS=2
    FAKEFEED=0
    SPEEDFIX=1.151
    ALTFIX=3.280839895
    WARNING DISTANCE=35
    SPEEDFACTOR=0.99
    LOADWIFI=0
    TURNSPEED=2
    STARTUPMAP=
    CACHEMAPINDEX=0
    STARTUPFREQUENCY=222
    SATINFOFREQUENCY=90
    STARTUPSCREENMODE=0
    NIGHTMODE=0
    SPEEDLIMIT=65
    DEBUG LOG=1
    INITLOCATION=1

    *New Log/Config/Map pref files*

    I think your device reports wrong longitude...
    Are you using some old usbgps.prx files or old firmware?
    there was a bug in 3.0 (or below 3.03? ) FW making it to report positive longitude for wester hemisphere.
    It slipped in because originally they only ment to sell it in Japan

    Let me know if that helped, if not -I'll look at your problem one more time

    I'm using 3.52 M33-4 I'm using an older usbgps.prx (don't remember ver. 3.03 or below) Should I be using the same one as the FW I'm on (3.52)?

    *UPDATE* After updating my usbacc.prx and usbgps.prx everything works fine. Thanks to all who helped especially Deniska, I would have never known about that bug in the older usbgps.prx

    Thanks again and great program!

    yes!!! it has to be the same one as firmware.... i just upgraded form 352m33-4 to 371m33-2 and mapthis works flawlessly, you always have to have the same usb and gps file for the verison firmware u have 3.xx and up. the usb and gps prx files for 371 are hard to extact to find the thread in this forum that has it posted.......BTW music.prx works too but only for 4 songs ?
