3.71 .prx files can be used on older FW psp units

not the other way around

Yes they can, I've been using 3.40 PRXs for a while on 3.52 just fine.

Oh well, not to old .prx files then, the older ones can mess upp the positioning on your PSP

True, but that's before 3.03, or even before, and only applies to negative latitude
