PSX Game cant seem to Work >__<"

So here is the problem, I have downloaded a PSX GAME [DESTREGA] and i converted it from PAL to NTSC and then i used popstation to write it over. Because the game was an image file i had to take these steps, all went good untill i tried to play it, Everytime when i get the PSONE Logo it will just FREEZE at that point!!! Can Someone Please tell me what i am doing wrong at all

Im running a PSP with 3.71 M33-2
i have done this b4 with the Final Fantasy series 7,8&9 and i had no problems with those

2. In 3.71 M33-2, in appears the pops menu and then when you hit o to go back, a black screen appears?
