Default New here. Have some questions...

Hello, my friend has a DC and has tried to run roms on it and it wont work. i dont know exactly what he has tried to do or what emulator he used or even how he burned them on the disc. what i was wondering is if there is a link that someone has on here that links me to a tutorial on how to get emulators running on the DC. or if someone is nice enough to just tell me how. if i can help him in getting them to work right, i might go out and get myself a dreamcast again since i gave my old one to my cousin. thanks for any info you guys can provide!!

For a start you can try out the emulators we offer at www.DCEvolution.net - you can disc swap with your Romdisks. If you need any more info please post.

thanks for the link christuserloeser, but i dont know what to do. ive read that i need nero and also that i need self bootable stuff. im total noob. so if theres a thread somewhere that tells me step by step how to get roms and an emulator to work on the DC that would be great. like what emulator for lets say SNES and such. then how do i properly burn it onto the DC. thanks!!

Let's start with the SEGA Master System, Game Gear & SG1000 emulators:

    1. Download the image (click on the link on the right hand menu)
    http://www.dcevolution.net/goto.php?id=54

    2. Then download Alcohol (burns Nero NRG & DiscJuggler CDI):
    http://trial.alcohol-soft.com/en/index.php

    3. Unrar your download from DCEvolution with e.g. WinRAR:
    http://www.rarlab.com/download.htm

    4. Start Alcohol and select the CDI file.

    5. Burn in DAO/SAO mode or TAO mode.

    6. Insert in your Dreamcast and enjoy

Once you got that done successful I'll guide you trough the process for creating your own selfbooting images with your ROMs.

A lot of tutorials can be found here:
    http://www.dcevolution.net/DCHelp/index.php?id=tuts

Edit: Note that you'll need a CDR - CDRWs won't work!

Search on the right menu where it says DOWNLOAD. A lot of people can't seem to find the link, we really have to change the site's structure.
