Don't talk about homebrew scene if you say "fullspeed Playstation emulation". A PSX emulator made by Sony is not related to homebrew.

    Late? Yes.
    Very late? Indeed.

But I'm here again to give my list of recommended emulators for Dissy.
    Again, sorry for the delay.

    NES - NesterJ v1.11
    SNES - Snes9xTYL 0.4.2
PS1 - Just use the built-in one from Sony. Custom firmware is needed.
    N64 - Daedalus PSP R12
Gameboy(s) - (advance)(big grey piece of crap / color) NOTE: The emulator is RIN.
Genesis(Magedrive) - I don't know to best one for this one. I'm sure JKKDARK does though.

Well, I'm sure you can get more recommendations from the super friendly DCEmu crew!
    I'm all out...

I'm reminded of what Napoleon said to Robert Fulton (inventor of the steam ship): "What sir, you would make a ship sail against the wind and currents by lighting a bonfire under her decks? I pray excuse me. I have no time to listen to such nonsense."

The fact that you can't conceive of anything else to emulate on the system only reflects on you and not on what has not yet been done.

For me the PSP is the ultimate emulation machine (second only to a modded xbox - but most of that is illegal blah, blah, blah).

It might have slowed down a bit for PSP but to be honest most things (that I want anyway)are already running nicely. ...plus to fill in the time you just play some commercial games (Syphon Filter2, manhunt2, sega rally, Star Wars Renegade Squadron etc) - something the gpx32 cannot compete with.

Ones to look out for which are still very much in development are mame4all http://ttyman.free.fr/ and the N64 emu (due an update v soon according to his blog) http://strmnnrmn.blogspot.com/, plus Castaway the Atari ST emulator is getting an update soon.

The amiga emu PSPUAE is also slowly coming along nicely! http://pspuae.condor.serverpro3.com/ ...plus NJ is still updating his excellent arcade perfect capcom/neo geo emus!

I personaly think youve made a wise investment, there are allways periods when things become slow and people cry 'oh the psp is scene is dead', but then they normally eat their words after a short while.

Its all about the emulation! ..you've got to love the retro goodness that is the PSP!
