Molyneux classic confirmed for DS

It's being reported from an EA press conference in Japan that the Bullfrog classic is being remade for DS. We've even got a picture of a man standing in front of a screen with the word 'Populous' on it and some Japanese writing, so it must be true!

We've got fond memories of hammering Peter Molyneux's Populous back in the day on Atari ST. Unfortunately not mush else has been revealed about the game - there aren't even any screens doing the rounds - but it's been rumoured to happen since SimCity got the DS treatment earlier this year.

According to the reports we should expect wireless play for up to four players.

We've been on to EA UK who was unaware of the news, but that doesn't mean it isn't happening. Especially as the first screens have appeared over on a Japanese website.

Bad news people, EA UK says the game is for Japan only.
