after 3 long years with my original fat psp, I've finally managed to brick it. I'm running 3.52m33 and can get into recovery menu, but can't seem to get the console to actually recover anything.

It started when I was downloading a theme without reading the fine print and tried putting one from 3.03 OE onto the 3.52m33 psp. I was getting the logo screen followed by a white screen and a battery icon. I restored the changed files via recovery menu and now I get nothing. No startup logo, no battery icon. Just a black screen and a mocking power light. Any help would be appreciated.

run the 3.52 M33 installer at the recovery location which i believe is at

/PSP/Game/Recovery/Eboot.pbp

that should fix you up
