Directory of free WiFi hotspots - JiWire is here to help!
GPRS sucks... EDGE is only marginally better. The best thing is to jack in to a WiFi hotspot and leech their bandwidth.
JiWire lists loads of free WiFi hotspots where you live. So far I have only tested UK and USA but seems great.
It is free to use, no need to register and best of all - they have an optimised version for iPhone!

hmm. disagree. in London I find literally tens upon tens. you can choose to only display free ones - so loads of Bagel Factory, and other pubs are displayed.
