Except for the header and footer in the KML file, which you'll have to put there manually, the regular expression'd be something like this:
Code:
s/^([^,]+),([^,]+),(.*),$/<Placemark>
<Point><coordinates>\2,\1,0</coordinates></Point></Placemark>/gim;
I hope that's of some use to you .

Is there anyway to make this work with the Freedom GPS 2000 keychain GPS device. It is the perfect size, and gets good reviews: http://blog.treonauts.com/2008/02/freedom-keychai.html

It uses the MTK 6601 chipset.

Thanks,
~S

Latest Map This! version does not load on my fat PSP (1004) with Sony's FW 1.50 ...

Have spend a couple of hours trying to get this to work, ... no success yet.

This is what I've done:

- Downloaded "MapThis0520.rar"
- Copied the folder "mapViewer" to ms:\PSP\GAME (including folders "maps" and "system")

- I'm using a Holux GPSlim 236
- I've bought the serial cable
- The GPS-viewer Green Proggie for serial GPS works fine (get the correct positions)

Must admit I'm close to stop soon, but would like to get it up and running, any suggestions are very welcome, txs.

Sorry, forgot to inform that the folder "mapViewer" (which is copied to ms:\PSP\GAME) came off course from the folder "MapThis0520\FW1.00" and not from the folder "MapThis0520\FW3.XX".

0.520 requires 3.xx custom firmware kernel to run.. - the only sure way to ensure compatibility with different psp boards and gps receivers...
So the best solution is to upgrade your firmware..
If you must keep it at 1.50 - try using older versions of Mapthis - somewhere in 0.49xx range (make sure you get "generic gps" version)... but you'd have to put up with some bugs and missing features...

I could not find anything indicating that the device supports RS232 type of communication over a serial cable.. if you find any diagrams for the charging socket that would claim overwise - send me a link..
