    Default

    It's a clone of a clone!
That is basically the same thing as an FC Twin.

    Exactly.

Setup's different, but I'm guessing that it has the same pro's and con's as the Twin....
    With the exception of S-video(?!)

The only folx who'll buy this won't know that the Twin exists....
....but if they know about HK, then they'll know ALL ABOUT the FCTwin!

    Default Same... but different

The FC Dual is a newer version of the FC Twin. It is a lot smaller than the original unit (if you took 3 NES cartridges, stacked them on top of each other face down, you'd have the exact dimensions of the FC Dual), has S-Video as well as composite video output, fully supports left and right stereo channels in both NES & SNES modes, and compatibility is improved.

I have tested Castlevania III: Dracula's Curse and it is now playable. I'm in the process of obtaining copies of the other NES and SNES games that were reported not to work with the FC Twin as well as testing multiple FC Dual units to check for consistency and will post my results when I'm finished.

One con that I know of so far is that you no longer can keep both a NES and a SNES cartridge installed at the same time. The NES side will not work if this is done. Wonder if this means that the FC Dual no longer uses a NOAC but an actual board & processor for the NES side.

(Now if only they'd make a 2 in 1 unit for Sega Master System and Genesis cartridges )
