Yeah, this still sucks, but I didn't realize how small it is. That alone is somewhat cool, at least as a PMP that also allows emulation.

I would definitely buy something like this with the following improvements:
    • A smaller screen, say, 2.5" (to make room for the next item on my list)
    • SNES/PSX-style face button arrangement (diamond arrangement)
    • A decent d-pad
    • more buttons (start/select, L/R, and a system menu button)
    • a non-proprietary rechargeable battery that can be replaced

And a 2" screen (just like the new iPod nano, and the same dimensions as the GB Micro) would be even better for reducing the size of this thing even further. One must remember that the biggest reason the Game Boy Micro isn't even smaller and thinner is the size of GBA cartridges.

As it stands, I'll stick with my DS and Game Boy Micro until something a little better comes out.

surely having such a small screen would be annoying though?

Nope. The games would look better. But it has 500mhz cpu, so it can produce really good graphics, and it's not a 16 mzh gb micro and it really need that big screen to show everything. I'm really gonna buy it if they put some extra buttons to it: six for shot (a,b,x,y,c,d), four shoulders (l,r,z,n), and start/select. And also, I think it need also some kind of useless expansion port (like CF card port? GPS anyone?)
