When I try to scan for wifi spots on my PSP with the WLAN switch on, it gives me

An internal error has occurred. (00000001).

i got that with the irshell browser

probably you are getting it too, i think ir shell cant sniff out network connections, but it can use them

my suggestion? just scan for a network in network settings and THEN use irshell

Ah I found the solution. For firmware version 3.50 and above, the error shown indicates that there are no wifi connections found nearby. Simple as that. No need to worry.
