and let us not forget it was microsoft that was behind the kennedy assasination!
Outspoken director Michael Bay has once again posted a note on his website in regards to the format war, this time calling out Microsoft. He pointed out, similar to what many insiders have been saying for a while, that Microsoft was only trying to destroy both formats in order to usher in digital downloads. Mr. Bay called Blu-ray the "superior" format and hinted that Microsoft was behind the now infamous Paramount payoff.
Below is the full post:
What you don't understand is corporate politics. Microsoft wants both formats to fail so they can be heroes and make the world move to digital downloads. That is the dirty secret no one is talking about. That is why Microsoft is handing out $100 million dollar checks to studios just embrace the HD DVD and not the leading, and superior Blu Ray. They want confusion in the market until they perfect the digital downloads. Time will tell and you will see the truth.

interesting, this guy just makes me laugh, but it'll be even more funnier if this is true.
We will see in the future. I hope HD-DVD will win :S
Microsoft also caused global warming and killed off the dinosaurs. But we knew that already. What you DON'T know is that Microsoft is the root of all evil and gave the apple to Eve in the garden of Eden. Right Mr. Bay?
Miniviews:
Spoiler!
I wouldn't put it passed Microsoft. After all, they ripped off the UI from Apple who ripped it off of Xerox. They also bought DOS, modified the code a little, and sold it to IBM. IBM on the other hand has done some really stupid things (ie. bought DOS from MS). They also created the BIOS, gave people the documentation for how it works but said you can't reverse engineer it. Well a little company called Phoenix came a long reverse engineered it and opened pandoras box. Thats when all these other companies started popping up (AMD, Intel, ASUS etc).
Well, theres your little history lesson folks![]()
Thanks for the lesson, I agree with you. You can't trust Gates. =/
Whats more troubling is that, if true, it means Microsoft had no real interest in HD-DVD. Sure they "support" it, but the Paramount pay off was merely a way of lengthening the format war.
Truth is, Digital downloads will never work as a format, at least not now. People in the US have to pay out the ass for good internet service and ISPs have the power to limit a person's bandwidth based on much they use. For instance, if you download extensively (legally or illegally) every day of the week, the ISP will limit your download speed for a month.
Imagine how many ISPs would be up in arms when people start downloading HD movies through some service Micro$#@! has? Not to mention who would want to download a 30 gigabyte HD movie?
No thanks, I think the people would much rather have discs and players that handle this job, especially considering it takes less time to goto the store, buy it, bring it home and watch it, than it would take to download it...
