if the tv you are getting is smaller then 42" get 720P because it will be very hard to see the difference then 1080P but if you are getting above 42" GET 1080P. ALso LCDs last longest to. MAKE SHURE TO HAVE HDMI

I read that anything around or above 40" should be 1080p while anything under that should be fine at 720p.

I have a 42" 1080i LCD Samsung, it is great, but I really can't tell the difference between 1080i and 720p...

We have a 50" Samsung and I would hate to go back to a smaller TV. the 2nd best thing I've bought this year, behind the PS3.
