You can finally abandon the minefield of third-party media applications for PSP, because the official media manager is now free to download.

Sony at last acknowledges that you need to do a fair amount of data manipulation to get the most out of your PSP, and you shouldn't have to pay for it. You can now grab the official media manager from the Japanese website.

Installation is in Japanese, but it's a simple case of hitting the "hai" buttons until it's all done, after which the program, according to Kotaku, runs in English. PSPron on!
