xbox 360 MadCatz 1080p HDMI Conversion Kit

Madcatz will be releasing a HDMI Conversion Kit for original 1st generation Xbox 360's without the HDMI port. Its simply a plug-n-play adapter. Madcatz states that it is able to output up to 1080p. The kit also includes HDMI cable and optical cable. Downside to this is that there is no RCA audio jacks (red/white). So if you dont have a digital receiver or optical port on your TV, you wont be able to get sound.

The Madcatz HDMI Conversion Kit will retail for $89.99 and will be available early next year.

Need one now and/or need one with RCA audio jacks? XCM White 360 HDMI 1080i Cable is cheaper and available now.

Just wanted to point something out about the lack of RCA audio jacks:

Doesn't the HDMI cable run both video and audio through it? So in theory, having RCA Jacks is completely unnecessary since the TV with HDMI ports will still output the video and audio source via HDMI.

Yes, HDMI outputs sound as well but if you're connecting HDMI to DVI to a computer monitor, DVI does not output sound so you will need the RCA audio jacks. My Dell 24" widescreen HD monitor does not have speakers built in and if I wanted sound, I would need the RCA audio jacks to plug my speakers into.
