can some1 help me with creating geodata.dat

hi ,
i little nooby with gmdl , (gmdl0.5.04b)
i have created my map (middle east map) succefully and i can view it in mapthis through the psp..
now trying to create geodata.dat in order to use the lookup function ,here is what i do:
1-open geodata
2-selected google(semi-auto) since iam in the middle east.
3-selected my map (1/3)
4-clicked on "show needed segments (then download missing ones one by one)" i dont really understand what is this for.(2/3)
now i have several segments i selected them all.
5-now when i try to click "save geodata.dat" i get an error 20 bad segments in row..why ??

when i try to change the x,y advisor i get geodata.dat with 1kb..and its not working..

what should i do ?
