Default Questions about the PSP-290 and PSP Slim

I have a friend in Hong Kong right now and he told me about a GPS receiver for the PSP that he saw there. I want to buy one, but I want to figure out everything before I do.

    Questions:
Will this work on my 3.71 M33 PSP Slim? If so, will the MapThis! Software and maps work on the slim? If yes, will I be able to follow any of the guides on the website or do I need to find one specific to doing it on the PSP Slim?

If anyone can point me in the right direction I would greatly appreciate it! Also links to guides to doing this for a newb like me would be awesome as well

If it says PSP-290 on the package and if it looks like this: http://www.digimartz.com/images/game...SP_GPS_290.jpg, then you should be pretty safe.

Map This! should run on all homebrew capable firmwares, though many users reported that on very new firmwares it may not always work that well.

You can read the stickies for FAQs and http://en.wikibooks.org/wiki/Map_This! for an installation guide.
