the color may be released, but it's unlikely...
PSP and all Sony consloes sure need nore colors...

N64 - Black, 6 translucent colors, pikachu blue, pikachu orange, gold (don't know if there's more)

PSX - Grey (don't know if there's more)
PSOne - White (don't know if there's more)

Gamecube - Black, Indigo, Orange, Pink, Gold, Silver, Gundam Garnet, Tales of Phantasia Cyan (don't know if there's more)

PS2/Slim - Black, White, Blue, Pink (don't know if there's more)

NDS - Silver, Blue(or with Pokepark logo), Red, Black, Pink(or with Mew), White, Cyan, Green (don't know if there's more)

PSP - Black, White (maybe yellow too)

Some people might be more interested but its not like its anything big to worry about. I doubt color will sell a system any better. I myself dont really mind the black, except that it smudges too easy.

Haha! When you said that and I looked at mine and it is off white. For some reason it seemed more gray till you said that.

You can notice that it is not an offical yellow (like the white and black) The d-pad is black (on the white it is white, on black it is black, so on yellow it should be yellow )
