Help with Reverse Compatability... wii & gamecube games

How do I "hit 'start'" to get started on a gamecube game when my Wii controller doesn't have a "start" button?

For example, I'm trying to play "Luigi's Mansion" and can't get into the game because there is no Start Button.

you'll need to use a gamecube controller when playing gamecube games on the wii, as the wii remote and nunchuk combo doesn't have all the buttons needed to play gamecube games (c-stick etc)
