Playstation 3 Controller Charge

For PS3 analog controller
A part of the charge emits light, and the color changes at time.
The charge situation is displayed with the LED lamp.
USB cable (1m) is attached.

this is pointless, wouldnt you rather hook it up via usb to the ps3 so you could use it while charging?

I bought one together with a 3 pin plug to USB converter. The charger is on the table next to the sofa charging my spare handset whilst I run the main one down. Then a quick swap when one goes flat. I will say though the stupid colour changing light is pointless.
