Four 'pads', and a foot pedal. You play it the same as guitar hero except when you use the kicker it goes across the entire row (as opposed to the other toms which have their own channel)

There are a few $#@! songs in Guitar Hero, but Rock Band looks better, I reckon that there will be a way to customize what songs are in the Rock Band game so you get all the songs you like.

Ehh, it does.

The orange bars that scroll down are for the kick pedal. You only get it on the harder difficulties, like the orange button in GH.

I want Rock Band, but it's not out here for a while.

No, Activision blocked a patch that would allow it. It will come eventually.

The 360 version is compatible, so I don't know what their problem is with the PS3 one.

There will probably be an assortment of packages eventually, but for now if you want to really play it, get the 3-instrument bundle. It's really the only way to fully experience it, IMO.
