I got it from dark-alex.org, so I don't see why it shouldn't work.
It has happened to my friend too, first you should check if the kernel is right but that wasnt the issue for my friend, my friend just tried it many times until it worked, but dont know if you wanna do that...

    Default 3.80 M33-2 now available.

3.80 M33-2 is already available and can be downloaded through the new, integrated network updater, or by using the attached file. It fixes some issues explained in the readme.

Would be nice if I could actually get to 3.80 M33 in the first place. I have formatted flash1 and reset the settings, and the 3.52 M33-3 or 4 update won't work at all, which I need to run prior to running 3.80.

Try going back to firmware 1.50 before updating back to 3.52 M33, then the M33-4. I posted the necessary files some pages back.

Alright, I'll give that a shot. If that doesn't work I suppose I'll have to use the Pandora battery to get it back to 1.5.

I thought it was bricked, but it wasn't, had to turn on the PSP, turn it off, and turn it back on again before it'd work.

Using the updates, do I need to put anything else in the M33Update folder or just have the EBOOT.PBP? Also what kernel do the updates need to be run under?

You have to put a 1.50 firmware update named 150.PBP and 3.52 firmware update named 352.PBP in the same folder as the 3.52 M33 update folder. Be careful not to overwrite the original EBOOT.PBP.

The updates are run under the 1.00/1.50 kernel. When installing from 1.50, you put the updater folder in /PSP/GAME. I think you have to install the kxploitpatcher included first. When patching to 3.52 M33-4, put the updater folder in /PSP/GAME150.

Wow, this is just, very very interesting...

My 8 gb stick seems to be the problem... Worked perfectly with my 256 mb stick.
