This emu is already top stuff.

To play Xenon2 on the psp and have the music running nicely in the background is a joy. The Shadow of the beast 2 intro also looks and sounds ace... as does the music in Magic Pockets!

Although not perfect I was also able to watch the public domain demo '9 fingers' which was fantastic!

I tested a few of my favs and Rodland, Robocop 1, R-type, R-type 2, SWIV, Creatures and Pacmania all work great. They seemed to work best on throttle 20 or 40.

Speedball 2 seems to crash my psp (tried it on most of the emu's settings)... Lotus 2 kept sketching out ...but I guess these could just be bad adf dumps?

For a futrue build keyboard implementation would be ideal (my version of 'Battle Chess' requires keyboard button presses to start, 'North and South' requires key mapping and in 'Stunt Car Racer' you need to be able to enter your name etc before you can start a game).

Multi disk game support would be another cool feature with some of the larger games.

It would be great if TTyman could get together with the guys at PSPUAE as they are also near to releasing a new psp amiga emulator. Working as a team would be great putting all your coding skills together.

All in all this is a great first release.

    Game on.

fantastic first release! its way much better and faster than pspuae! hopefully there will be more releases from this emu. its much better and faster than the same emu that is on the dreamcast =)

many thanx for this! it is not full speed (often we need to have 1-2 FS for full speed) but it is a GREAT start!

JOY all amiga lovers out there

The sound pitch is not accurate at all. Music sounds out of tune. Other than that it's a great emu!!!

    I wouldn't say it's better because it's faster.
I'll bet the UAE based emu will play more than half of the games that crash on this one because UAE is
    written for accuracy.

The speed and sound is fantastic in this emulator though so the experience so far for me has been great.

There have only been a handfull of games that I've chucked at it that currently either don't work or crash (Super Cars 2, Alien breed 92, Moonstone, Lotus Es)... while every other game has been completly playable (Rodland, Turrican, Navy Seals, Bubble Bobble, Silk Worm, SpeedBall 2, Shadow of the Beast 2 etc - even most of the public domain music demos!). ...The speed was so good that I've finaly deleted Castaway off my psp! lol

I guess once the guys from PSPuae release their new build then I'l revert back to that emu but for now this is the best amiga emulator on the psp. It maybe missing many options (keyboard, decent GUI etc) but as it is it does a v good job.

I just think its great that we've just started 2008 and allready theres two amiga emulators being worked on for the PSP!

You convinced me to try it, but I get the same problem as below with both builds,
KICK.ROM in the program directory, adf images.
    Dang

The emulator appears to load ok on both systems, ADF games appear ok in the disks

    browser, KICK.ROM is ok.
the problem is when I select a disk image and press the psp L button to load the game,

the screen with the two green disk activity icons appears 00 00. then it freezes and

    powers off PSP.

I’m using .ADF disk images, do they need to be in zipped format or something? they work

    fine with PSPUAE 63BE.

    can’t think of anything else!

I found out this problem is because there is more than one version of 1.3KICK.ROM,
and this emu only like one of them.

Google "KICK.ROM", and you'll find the correct one on the
right hand side of the first page in the Google results.

Still not my cup of tea though.
It crashed in the workbench screen of the first demo I tried,
and wouldn't run the first game I tried.
It also looks to wreck aspect ratio if you like it or not.
He might have the best PSP MAME, but I'll give this one a miss.

Yeh I've tried several games, and they all end up crashing. I was really excited too, given the comments, but I think I'll be sticking with PSPUAE.

Try TTYman's MAME though, if you haven't yet.
