Don't suppose there's a way to get PocketPC emulation running on the PSP? Aside from all the other useful applications, PIE (Pocket Internet Explorer) would be a huge step up from the built-in PSP Web Browser.

That's true, but the core OS can run on MIPS or ARM. Even aside form the OS, if you try to run an app, you have to make sure the executable is for one or the other type of processor. Since the PSP uses an ARM processor, half the battle is over.
Also, since it was designed for low-end memory and processor requirements, it shouldn't be too difficult to squeeze it onto the PSP. Wi-Fi, Memory Expansion and such are already supported... touch screen would have to be retooled to use the Analog nub and 'click button', but that's relatively minor.
It would be great to have one.. Actually I looked for one (thought someone already created it) since I found one for PC.
