Reception problem with PSP-290

Where did u all buy the extention cable from? I really need that cable now as my signal strength is 1 bar at most. By the way, the PSP-290 is able to work anywhere around the globe right?

I think thats the only place to buy such a cable. I bought one and the shipping took just a week. I haven't tryed it yet so i cant say if it improves my reciption, but im certain it will

Ok, if you need good GPS signal, my best suggestion is to buy a Holux M1000 and the Serial cable, because in my opinion, they have the best signal reception!
In any case, shielding off your PSP-290 with Aluminium foil seems a little Area-51ish paranoid. Haha, but whatever works for you.
Your best bet is to go with the extention cable, and if you mount it in a car, have the "GPS" logo part of the unit resting against the windshield pane (from the inside of course), as pointing it straight up to the sky never got me much good signal, I find that with it slanted a little back, it gains a lot more sattelites and a quicker fix.
