Indeed, homebrew is a big thing for me too.

Maybe it was silly for me to think that the PS3 will have homebrew as vast as the PSP, but I still think there is promise for a useful exploit.

If the full potential of the PS3 is unlocked, we will have ourselves a homebrew power house. I can't see it happening though.

Homebrew for me's a nice little extra feature, not the reason I'd go for a certain console.

Uh.. no, you don't have to buy everything. The demos are free. And if you want free video playback, just connect a PSP, Zune, iPOD, Cellphone, or anything to the USB port. Use a DVD, or just share your computer's media with the 360.

most used: psp (I've used it everyday since I bought it)
least used: N64 (covered in dust), PS2 (I don't use it much anymore since there are no new games)

Yeah, If you have anything else, you can temporarily connect it to your 360. I'm talking about the ability to actually, hmm, I dont know, put your own videos onto your 360 without having to buy them/stream them from other devices?

With that being said, both PS3 and Xbox 360 have the power to emulate the Gamecube, PS2 (already done on PS3), the Xbox (already done on 360), and even the Wii, and dont tell me that Wii emulation couldnt be done on 360/PS3. If Xbox, which has a 733 MHz Processor and 64 MB Ram can be emulated, then why cant Wii with it's 729 MHz processor and 88 MB ram? I've already seen people using Wiimotes on 360 through extra tools as well.

Remember the massive disparity in the capabilities of someone sitting in their bedroom and a multinational corporation, it wouldn't be up to scratch.

    You're absolutely right.

As of now, there's only one publically released Xbox Emulator (only plays Halo 1 at halfspeed)

Apparently x64 releases of Dolphin are running games at fullspeed.

    PCSX2 is getting there...

And, most of the time, you need a good PC Emulator to port to the console.

But it definitely can be done.
