Well if you own a sony and a sandisk you can do crazy things like comparing transfert speeds.

There is software which gives that sort of information, like supercopier on windows. You can also use specialised hardware for this purpose: a watch.

By the way, sandisk > sony.

I had problems with sony's memory stick with slow speeds along with lexar which i found to be absolutely horrible. I found Sandisk to be byfar the best in terms of speed, durability and size. The little thing is great. The hdd's are a bit out of place because they are big and bulky and the tiny memory cards are as big and bigger than them.

Lexar has horrible compatability. Sandisk has been proven to be faster than Sony for a while now. Its cheaper also. And blue looks way better than that black. lol. The gaming cards r nice also. My choice would be Sandisk 4 GB Memory Stick Pro Duo. I believe its the cheapest deal for that amount of space. Its also one of the best. It doesnt add weight or bulk to the PSP either and compatabile w/ not only a PSP but other products also. I have 2 of those 4 GB memory sticks and they never failed me so far.

I have both a 4 gig Sandisk and a 4 gig Sony. The Sony takes on average 2.5 times longer to transfer, but everything plays fine on either. As I got the Sony off ebay, theres a chance it could be fake, but I don't really care since the price was right.

The hard drive solutions are outdated. They are bulky, heavy and slow, and really not much cheaper than a memory stick.

I have noiced that Sandisk seems to be better in several ways than the official SONY memory sticks.

They are cheaper in most stores I have been to.
They are faster, I have noticed that the read/write speed seems to be better using Sandisk.
They might be more durable, the SONY memory stick that came with my slim PSP broke within days after I purchased the system while an old 1GB Sandisk memory card that I have laying around the house is still intact.

Oh, has anybody tried the MAX Expandable Memory yet? I am wondering whether or not it is worth purchasing.

Sony Memory Stick Pro Duo 4GB,

Although I have owned a 2Gb Sony stick that was slower.
