I've got two of the SanDisk(#1) and one of the sony boys(#2). Both Sans are for emulation(POPs, nes, snes, genesis, sega CD, GBA, N64) and the sony is for the backup cso's and they both run smooth as silk I couldn't tell the difference.
Does SanDisk make an 8 GB card? I used to have a Sony one and it wasn't bad, it got jacked though and I want a new 8 GB card.

In my time with the PSP, I've had two of the Sony 32mb that come with the standard package, a 2gb Sandisk, a pair of 4gb Sandisk, and the Datel 4gb hdd.
The Sandisk (regular issue Memory Stick Pro Duo, not Ultra II whatever) have never let me down, still in use now. The hard drive was slow, and eventually stopped working, as the little memory stick adapter got beat up (though I've still got the drive, and wouldn't mind using it as a flash drive if I had a reader for it). And of course...what can you say about the official ones, other than they're tiny and really only intended for gamesaves.
Sandisk all the way!
My memory sticks have all been Sony's (32mb, 1GB, 4GB, 8GB) just through ignorance of which'd be better, but they've all worked as well as hoped. My 8GB needs a reformat everytime I'm adding 1.5 builds, but that's specific to all 8GB's, right?
Do those HDs offer anything, cos if not they're a bit of a joke...
My vote goes for Sandisk Memory Stick Pro Duo 4GB.
No_one_in_particular: They offer nothing besides additional size and weight and decreased battery life/transfer speeds.![]()
The Sandisk 4GB MS Pro Duo is definitely my choice. I've got two of them and they both work beautifully.
i have a sandisk and a sony, and the sandisk definitely transfers large videos and isos faster. the sony seems to have the edge if i transfer lots of smaller files, like roms
avoid the datel memory cards like the plague, they are extremely flimsy. i broke one in half just by pressing it into the psp with my thumbnail.
