Sadly this has nothing to do with the DS as it won't be able to emulate this, right ?![]()
DCEmu Coder Notaz has today released a major breakthrough for the Whole Emulation scene ( Major Breakthroughs are always great) and thats the emulation of the SVP Chip on the Megadrive Game Virtua racing.
At the moment this runs only on Windows but what a great breakthrough for the Emulation scene

Notaz is also working on a GP2X version which is running at 17FPS and Maybe even a PSP Version (we hope).

Emu scene has almost died in recent years $ony have all but given up on the psp...Nice to see coders considering future ports to the system.
All work from Notaz is appreciated. He has contributed so much. I use and love the PicoDrive emulator for the PSP and hope to see more works of his make it to the PSP.
Great game! great emulation! NOW A DS PORT!
never played megadrive
For those that don't know the Sega MegaDrive is the Sega Genesis.
Because Virtua Racing was the only game to ever use the SVP chip it will probably be the only emulated game that will see a benefit from this.

Still an amazing accomplishment considering information on the chip is almost zero.
This means that a lot of hardwork and talent went into figuring out how to emulate this obscure DSP.
*$#@!s*
...And I thought just for a second, Sonic Scene God Nemesis was going to emulated first with his new Emulator. I would love to see this working in the next release for the PSP.
Really nice work. Best news from the Megadrive scene since god knows how long. Have a unborn baby. *Gives* Well done Notaz!
What next a 32x emulator for the PSP. :P
