    Thank you very much.
Maybe I try to put some old projects back together. I was always afraid of setting this stuff up.

Have virtualbox devs fixed the USB slowness? last time I checked psplink was working extremely slow.. This may be useful for some testing but mostly irritating as you need to wait a few extra seconds to load things up..

USB integration works great. Just enable it int eh virtualbox setup, and choose the PSP Type A, and it's just like having it attached to windows.

Usblink works Ok you can also create a second share to your PSP/Ms folder directly just like the one betwen windows and ubuntu.
The only problem is that you have to have psp connected to run your virtualbox or you will get a share missing error.

You don't have to have your psp connected. Don't set up your PSP as a Share. Just enable USB in teh Virtualbox settings menu. Once VB is running and you're booted into Xubuntu, connect your PSP. It will show up as a USB device just like it does under windows.

Thanks for an excellent helpful disk image (works with latest virtualbox 1.5.4 with no config problems so far!)

I do have a slight problem.....
Any chance you could reveal the root password for the image. I want to update xorg.conf for my 1360x768 widescreen TV resolution but can't at the moment! Also need to set UK keyboard mapping

I'd discovered VirtualBox a few days ago (a really easy to configure 17 MB download) and used it briefly with PuppyLinux but now you've saved me a whole heap of configuration for a full dev environment.

Nice work pre-installing the virtualBox drivers etc.

Thanks for this and all your other psp homebrew work.

Enter the following command in a terminal :
    sudo mousepad /etc/X11/xorg.conf

(afaik, there is no root password under xubuntu)

For the keyboard you may have to change the XkbLayout field (set to "uk", i guess) in xorg.conf
    here is my blog !

Thanks. When prompted for the sudo password use 'psp' of course.

    'gb' for the uk keyboard.

Now happily running fullscreen at 1360x768 with an '@' on the right key!
