Adrian McMenamin emailed me this news concerning Dreamcast linux
After a long period in the doldrums there are some early signs of life
in the Dreamcast Linux effort.
A bootable, if basic kernel is now available at
http://newgolddream.dyndns.info/zImage - it doesn't require a BBA but it
will send output to a serial console so you need the coders' cable.

It would be nice to see this DC Linux become a full-featured shell (code,compile,execute,save-to-ramdrive.)
Allow anyone to write micro-proggies on the Dreamcast.
Even better, hombrew hardware initiatives (DC Hard drive, PCI interface, Maple peripherals) would benefit from having a shell+compiler to code new device drivers.
