According to Amaxon UK the Release Date is 25th April, although this may be incorrect.

I saw on one site a post saying that there was somthing called iGo being used. Don't know wether that's right of not.

Well it sucks :/. Sony hasn`t confirmed any date. I think Amazon is wrong :/

Amazon are still saying that it is 25th and have put it up for Preordering so it must be soon.

its like for months for preorder. the last date was the 26 march or smt like that.

Is there any method to convert Garmin maps to Go! Explorer out there?

Not...
But we try add the IGO8 maps and file L_0.LIC not give to add another map..only UK and Ireland

For all us UK people - HMV are pre-ordering go!explore with a release date of alo the 35th of april. I didn't thiink 27.99GBR isnt bad:
