    Default Buying used

How can you determine the firmware version of a used psp? assuming that the previous owner is clueless and the packaging may or may not still be intact

    you check under system settings...

usually if it comes with spider-man 2 and the seller didnt update you know its 1.5

    Cool

If it's something you are buying on-line I'd be very carefull. If it's in a shop or something like that just ask to turn it on and check in the system settings. That's the only way to be 100% sure what firmware is on the system.

There are three ways to tell the firmware of a psp.

    1. The code of the psp on the box-
    1.0- psp-1000
    1.5- psp-1000k
    1.51- psp-1001k
    2. The bar code on the bottom of the psp will end with the code# from the box.

    3. checking the system information through the home menu selectof the psp.
